We’re thrilled to announce that Finom, one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs, has chosen Numeral, a Mambu company’s Verification of Payee (VOP) solution to meet the upcoming October 9, 2025 regulatory deadline and protect its SME customers from fraud and payment errors.
As an EPC‑qualified Routing and Verification Mechanism (RVM), Numeral offers the easiest path to compliance with a fully managed VOP service and flexible integration options so Finom can focus on growth.
This launch comes at a pivotal time for Finom. After raising €215 million this year, bringing total funding north of €300 million and doubling revenue in 2024, they are scaling rapidly toward serving one million European small and medium enterprises.
“For Finom, adopting VOP isn’t just about compliance. It's about embracing a Europe‑wide initiative to reduce APP fraud, to which SMEs are particularly vulnerable, and increase trust in digital payments. With Numeral, we chose a trusted partner combining the easiest path to compliance with proven expertise in critical payment scheme connectivity,” explains Sergey Petrov, co‑founder and COO of Finom.
The initial focus of this partnership is on deploying VOP to reduce the risk of misdirected or fraudulent payments. But we hope this marks the beginning of a broader collaboration. We’re excited by the opportunity to demonstrate our expertise at scale and to explore new ways to support Finom through expanded payment infrastructure and automation capabilities.
